Senior Software Engineer December 2025 - August 2026
- Owned ongoing development of Cascade Designer, a Python-backed TypeScript/React application for visually modeling RF link budgets and spacecraft communication systems.
- Redesigned modulation and coding (MODCOD) selection from an opaque dropdown into a guided visual workflow, making complex RF configurations easier to understand and configure.
- Enabled parameterization across every configurable field in its React Flow–based link-budget interface, expanding the range of system configurations engineers could model.
- Designed and implemented the initial FastAPI and SQLAlchemy API for managing ground-station customers, spacecraft, ephemerides, communication contacts, and modem configurations.

- Delivered near-instant user experience (0.7s FCP & speed index, 0ms TBT, measured by Lighthouse) through full-stack architectural overhaul, migrating legacy system to React frontend and Django/Python backend.
- Owned and led comprehensive a11y overhaul for Scientific American's frontend, achieving WCAG 2.1 AA cross-site compliance, eliminating identified a11y violations, & improving experience for all users with disabilities.
